Finally got to hike Lanikai's Pillboxes Trail and I'm so upset at myself for not going sooner, and therefore more often. The view going up the trail was simply gorgeous! Words can't express my astonishment and pictures don't do it justice. I kept blinking my eyes in disbelief, making sure I wasn't dreaming LOL! This reminds me of the saying "it's not just about the destination, but the journey". The journey was breathtaking, figuratively and literally haha! Just one of the perks of living in Hawaii and why we're so lucky to live here.

It was so windy. Paka'a (Hawaiian God of Wind) playing with my hair or he tryna knock me off the ledge LOL!

The trail wasn't too long; about a mile and a half. Also, surprisingly, not too many people on a Wednesday during the summer (mostly Japanese tourist) which was great! It was hot as heck, though. Should've brought an umbrella :p Good thing the beach was right there. Me and the bf just walked and jumped in after the hike. It felt so good especially with this scorching heat. Must go back!
