RATINGS | Food: 4 / Service: 5 / Ambience: 3 / Value: 4

This year, din din was at Nobu restaurant in Waikiki. Great place! The service, the food, the ambiance and even the interior decor was awesome! If you like Japanese cuisine, I would definitely recommend this place.

I favored the Bluefin Toro (otoro) sashimi. Otoro is the belly-fat of the fish; the fattiest. It’s the best part to eat. I frickin’ love otoro like there’s no tomorrow. It is to die for! It gave me flashbacks to when I was in Japan, at Tsukiji Fish Market, indulging in the best sushis in the world.

I also liked their Cinnamon Roll Tobanyaki dessert. It’s cinnamon butter mochi with cream cheese, topped with macadamia nut brittles and vanilla ice cream, all on a puddle of butterscotch caramel. I usually don’t like sweets, but this one was perfect. Everything blended so well. Try it!

We ate steak before coming to Nobu. That’s why our meal consisted of seafood/sushi. Even so, there’s a lot more Nobu has to offer. And take it all with some hot sake!
