Next stop on the Tio Trio’s excursion is Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia! It’s only an hour plane ride from Singapore, so we headed over for a day’s trip.
Batu Caves
The main reason why I really wanted to go to Malaysia was because of the Batu Caves. No regrets! It was more magnificent, colorful and bigger than I expected.
There’s 272 steps. Not bad when excitement is running through you 🙃
We arrived at the caves right when it opened at 7 in the morning. Much to our delight, there weren’t too many humans and surprisingly, no menacing monkeys.
Petronas Twin Towers
Ok, now Kuala Lumpur was hot! Even for me. I thought of walking to most of our destinations, but it was so hot. We just used Grab everywhere. And looking at the Petronas Towers didn’t help. Hot as iron!
Menara KL Tower
The Sky Box was the main attraction at the KL Tower. At almost 1000 feet up, the Sky Box extends out from the Sky Deck ledge. You get a panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur.
My brothers were terrible photographers 😒They need girlfriends to train them 😝
Don’t worry, I wore shorts under my dress. It’s not like anyone can see from all the way down there 👀
We stayed at Hotel Istana in the Bukit Bintang area; a shopping and entertainment district.
KLIA security had a ball with my power bank 🤣
We barely scratched the surface of Kuala Lumpur. I wanted to see more places but it was just way too hot. Would come back in a cooler season and try some Malaysian food 👋 *More on my Instagram highlights!
